My name is Kara Yoder and I’m an Artist-Illustrator living in Rogers, Arkansas.

I make things.

I like earthy, rich color and bold, simple shape.

Although…I do find myself working in a muted, realistic style as a way of expressing an idea.

Maybe I like the juxtaposition of the two.

I like working with words and symbols, wood and oil, clay and stones.

When I figure out what exactly I’m doing, I’ll let you know.

When I’m not creating, you’ll find me walking in the woods, enjoying time with my boys (Lev & Tristan), writing, and making cookies.
